Great stay, beautiful place and location. Perfect for 2 couples, each of us had our own room and ensuites. The deck and the fire table made for beautiful evenings
Beautiful view! So nice to relax on the patio after long days at the beach. Comfy beds. Worked well for us and our two young kids. Would stay here again!
We had a wonderful stay at Lynda’s cottage. Lynda was super responsive and we were even able to check in early, which was great after the long drive to get there. The unit was very comfortable and the view was beautiful. An eagle even landed on the tree we could see from our deck on the last day. The fireplace was much appreciated after days of slightly soggy hiking. The kitchen was well equipped but could perhaps use a ladle. I only noticed because we had brought soup. A couple of the local restaurants were closed because of the season, but we had a good dinner at the Port Renfrew Pub and played a couple of (not very good) games of pool. The quality of the pool playing was directly related to the skills of the participants and not the equipment! There was lots of hiking nearby and Biological Beach did not disappoint. Be sure to check the tide tables for the best experience. I would definitely recommend Lynda’s place to anyone who was interested in staying in this area.
Beautiful setting to breathe in nature and boggle the senses. The vistas as stunning. Make certain you time things as many of the restaurants are closed post season. Loved it here!
Wonderful location and wonderful experience. We have not done anything like this before as this location is indeed off the beaten track especially for us coming from the NY area. If you want to destress and disconnect this is the location - overlooking a spectacular port renfrew bay. Out of the world view from the deck. All amenities are excellent. If you are into nature - beaches , trails , walks etc this is it. There is not much around town - single gas station , single convenience store (which is surprisingly good) , couple of eateries and pretty much nothing else. If this is what you want this is it. 2 hrs north west of Victoria - the drive to this place is amazing . Had our rental car and is needed to drive around the island. We also bought provisions from victoria and pretty much cooked in the kitchen most of the times. The cabin was very modern and comfortable. All in all an excellent location.
Beyond cozy! Lynda’s place is one of the best Airbnb’s I have had the pleasure to rent. The deck and fire table combined with the wonderful view gave us space to enjoy outdoors even when it was raining. The fireplace and comfy seating area—next to the wall of glass— are so great. And there are top quality rolling window blinds. The beds are very comfortable, two full bathrooms, and a beautiful kitchen. The complex of rentals got very busy on the weekend, so there were lots of cars parked, but it was still exceptionally quiet and felt very private. Lynda responded to my questions quickly. We had a great time and would definitely reserve her unit again
The view is what it’s all about at this unit. Would love to come back during the warmer months. The separate bathrooms were perfect for two couples. There was a ton of noise coming from the unit beside us as they had kids running around late at night and early in the morning. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive. Botanical Beach loop is a must as is the restaurant/pub Wild Renfrew. The no cell reception is definitely true! Great communication with Lynda and looking forward to our next visit.
“The amazing view from this very clean, comfortable condo will take your breath away! Wonderful stay and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the well stocked kitchen, board games, and shampoo/conditioner. We will be back!”
It really does have great water and marina views and with the PNW ever changing weather, we enjoyed that aspect. We all appreciated the well equipped and spotless kitchen along with separate bathrooms for each bedroom. The gas fireplace heated up fast after our return from a hike at nearby Avatar Grove on Padeechat First Nations unceded land with some of the largest moss covered trees on the island. We suggest adding a second reading lamp to each bedroom but even then Lynda supplies headlamps! The unit truly is well equipped and perfect for a get-away weekend or even a week if you have more time than we did.
Forest Fox Cottage was absolutely amazing! the views from the deck was exceptional and i loved sitting outside to just take it all in. we initially had trouble getting in with the code as we didn’t know we had to push the door but lynda was a couple units away to help us out. the place had everything including a toaster, pots & pans, games & puzzles, grill, and the best part - the fire table! the area is very remote and doesn’t have much so i would recommend bringing groceries and water/drinks before coming. it’s also important to note that the location has no service and only the unit has wifi. otherwise, the place was so spacious and clean, it was definitely worth the price and the drive! it was such a lovely little getaway from the city. thank you lynda for the great hospitality!!”
